In an exciting game on 25 January, London based Chelsea defeated their city-rivals Tottenham Hotspur – though it needed a penalty shootout to do it, with the Blues winning 4-2, and winning a place in the final of the League Cup, in opposition of defending victors Manchester City.
At Stamford Bridge last night, the winners netted all of their spot-kicks whereas Eric Dier and Lucas Moura did not manage to make it through and missed for Spurs. The Penalty shootout was required after the teams were left at an equal level of 2-2, even after 180 minutes of football! (more…)
The Liverpool and Egypt star Mohamed Salah is a renowned footballer and is the latest buzz on social media. His sculpture was unveiled recently in his hometown. The artwork was displayed at the World Youth Forum which took place in Sharm al-Sheikh.
It clearly shows the Liverpool star with his arms out as though he is enjoying the goal scoring victory like he normally does. Some people have given their views that it looks more like Marv the burglar of the movie Home Alone. (more…)
Liverpool has managed to make a narrow escape in the Champions’ League Group of Death. After they had been defeated in the 3 away matches, the squad of Jurgen Klopp had to defeat Napoli 1-0 or by 2 clear goals in the ultimate group stage game.
Mohamed Salad is known to have scored the one goal in the match at Anfield in order to send Liver to the group runner-up game. It is going to be nervy all the time. Alisson needed to keep Arkadiusz Milik from bringing at par in the injury-time with an amazing save. (more…)
Radamel Falcao was on target as Ligue 1 rivals AS Monaco and Olympique Marseille clashed. The game was expected to be a long drawn battle but Leonardo Jardim and his boys cruised to a very comfortable 6-1 victory.
Falcao bragged a brace, even as Monaco are set to be further depleted with the loss of Kylian Mbappe. Fabinho, who scored the sixth goal, could join the French youngster as they move to archrivals Paris St-Germain before the transfer deadline. (more…)
