Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler has urged the Reds boss Jurgen Klopp to let go of Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah if the player desires to leave Anfield in the summer. Fowler said Liverpool would be doing themselves good if they sell Salah as long as he wishes to leave, so the money made from his sale can be used to make more additions to the squad.

Salah is one of the Premier League players that continue to be linked with a move away from England and he has reportedly grown dissatisfied with life at Anfield following the club’s poor run of form so far this season. Despite Liverpool languishing in 7th position, Salah has been prolific in front of goal this season and has scored 24 goals in all competitions for the Reds this campaign.

His goal return rate has alerted Europe’s top teams who have registered an interest in the former Serie A player, including Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid. Fowler made reference to the Philipe Coutinho situation which saw the Brazilian midfielder declare that he wanted to leave Anfield ahead of a move to Barcelona some years ago. And Fowler said the club can always allow any player who wants to leave to move to their preferred destinations so they can welcome players who really want to play for the club.

Speaking to the Mirror, Fowler said that he does not have anything against Salah and that he loves the Egyptian a lot, but also added that even though he loves him so much if he wants to leave, he would sell him.

Salah is already a fans’ favorite at Liverpool and has scored a mammoth of 118 goals in just 189 appearances since signing for the Reds from AS Roma back in 2017.
