Corvallis will be seeing the action of new players after the head coach announced the decision to do so. The signees include goalkeeper Matt Bersano (Tempe, Ariz.), goalkeeper Andrew Glaeser (Walla Walla, Wash.), forward Glenn Paden (Lake Forest Park, Wash.), forward/midfielder Mike Reckmeyer (Lincoln, Neb.), forward/midfielder Will Seymore (Soham, England) and forward Khiry Shelton (Leander, Texas), who was selected to the US U-18 Men’s National Soccer Team for training camp in Phoenix, Ariz., on Feb. 12-20.

“To be certain, I’m thrilled with the incoming 2011 class,” Simmons said. “This group of young men has already demonstrated their talents at high competitive levels – you have to be pretty good in our soccer cleats to even get a look-in here! They will help us address areas on the field in order to thrive competitively. Additionally, their fit into the team, university and community will translate into success all around. Each one of these student-athletes has a strong desire to be here in Corvallis and help us achieve our goals in the PAC-12 and nationally.”
