Former Oregon State running back Yvenson Bernard has left Corvallis to sign with the Alouettes.

Bernard spent the past two seasons with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

“It was a good signing and a smart signing,” said one league executive, according to a report by the Montreal Gazette. “He’s a good player — tough, fast and durable.”

The contract is for one year and an option. Bernard will receive an estimated base salary of $70,000.
