Radamel Falcao was signed on a season long loan deal to Manchester United and the Premier League club has the option on signing him on a permanent deal but this will depend on the player himself as he needs to prove that he is capable of playing alongside his new teammates and it will also depend on whether or not Louis van Gaal is willing to sign him permanently.

The problem with Falcao is that he has been struggling with a series of injuries that has made him unable to perform at his best.

The Colombian forward made a name for himself during his time performing with Athletic Madrid with consistently high level performances with the Spanish club and this was the reason on why As.Monaco was determined to pay around €50 million in order to sign him but Falcao has not managed to live up to the expectations as he performs fairly well with As.Monaco but not at the same level that he used to some time ago.

Manchester United decided to take their chance and sign him on a loan deal which expires at the end of the current season and Falcao has already expressed his desire to remain playing at Old Trafford permanently but this won’t occur unless he starts impressing Louis van Gaal and makes a statement as to why he deserves to play alongside players such as: Angel Di Maria, Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney.

Fans of Manchester United are eager to see Falcao return to his old ways and score consistently, if this does happen and Falcao gets his chance to impress everyone, his spot in Old Trafford is guaranteed but he has to step it up as his time is ticking down.
