Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina says that Uruguay will be missing the services of Luis Suarez heavily just as his team have missed striker Radamel Falcao. Colombia’s major presence up front is the Monaco striker, who has had to miss the tournament because of the anterior cruciate ligament injury he suffered a few months ago. He has just returned to training and will not been in good shape to contribute to the team. Hence, Colombia had to go for in experienced players like James Rodriguez.

The former Benfica man has been a stunning revelation after scoring three goals in the tournament. He will be a man to watch when Colombia take on Uruguay in the last 16 of the World Cup 2014. Ospina says that every major team has someone who they rely upon heavily. It is Suarez in the case of Uruguay, while Colombia depend upon Falcao. Over the last five years, the former Atletico Madrid striker has proven to be one of the best in the world. Rodriguez has been untested in the top-level European football until the last few years.

Falcao has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid or Chelsea, which shows a lot about the quality that the 28-year-old possesses. Suarez will be suspended for four months after being found guilty of biting Chiellini in the shoulder.

“All national teams have difficulties. We had difficulties but that is why it is down to all members of the team to have the ability and skill to overcome any difficulty,” said the Colombian goalkeeper. “It is a very delicate issue. It seems to me that our concern is Uruguay and we are working hard to deal with them. Uruguay are highly respected. We knew the possibility of playing them, they are always top-notch. We have to be ready,” said Pekerman about Suarez’ absence.
